Meet Dr. Emerson Henry

Dr Emerson HenryEmerson Henry has been practicing dentistry in Kingston since 1986. Before embarking on a career in dentistry, he worked as a Teacher at the Seaforth High School and as a Chemist in the pharmaceutical industry in Jamaica.

Having received his primary education at the Seaforth Primary school he matriculated at secondary and tertiary level education at Morant Bay High, and Excelsior Schools respectively. He graduated from the University of The West Indies having earned a BSc. degree in Chemistry and Applied Chemistry.  His quests for knowledge and his love for Dentistry earned him an Honours in Dentistry from the Semmelweis Medical University in Hungary and a Masters in Clinical Dentistry – Prosthodontics from the University of London.

Dr. Henry is actively involved in community development.  He is a Past President and Founding Member of the Morant Bay High School Alumni and Past Chairman of Seaforth High School. He is a member of the Jamaica Dental Association, The American College of Prosthodontics, and a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In 2017 he was awarded the Governor General for Outstanding Contribution to Community Development for the parish of St Thomas.

He enjoys keeping fit and his hobbies include art, songwriting and singing.

He is married with 4 children and a grandson.
